PLACING AN ORDER:

The first thing to do is print out the order sheet (.pdf file, download to your desktop) If you are a first time user of our services we will try to highlight the most important areas of that form for your convenience. If you don't have (or cannot download our order sheet), just include the information needed from the list below.

Customer Name and Address: Easy enough, but please fill out as completely as possible with email and phone numbers, it helps if we have to contact you. Please fill in ship to address if different than customer address.

Shipment Includes: Let us know what items you are sending us so we make sure they are included in the order we send back to you.

Payment Information: We require payment with the order. If you have questions about the amount, please give us a call. We can estimate shipping costs if you are paying with check. If you are paying by credit card, we will gladly confirm your total amount before printing. We do not accept COD orders.

Title: Please give us a reference title (or #) for each of your original art, film, or files. We will keep them filed under that name for future reference.

Print Size, Quantity and Media Type: We need to know the final print sizes of prints you want reproduced from your originals, the type of media, and quantities of prints needed. Type of paper/media we offer:

Watercolor Paper A medium weight and medium texture paper that is popular with most of our watercolor customers (and some oil painters too!) A heavier watercolor paper is available, call us.

Canvas Our most popular canvas cloth is a medium to heavy weight (20ml material with a semi gloss finish). Other materials are available, please call us for more information.

Matte Paper A heavy weight matte paper without any texture, almost a suede finish watercolor paper.

Lustre Paper This paper is on a resin base material similiar to photo matte prints.

Card Stock is a medium weight smooth finish card stock similiar to post card weight, Great money saver!

Samples of all papers and Note Cards are available, just give us a call.

Borders: We recommend borders when you will be selling your prints, because you won't have to mat them. Just shrink wrap (or use plastic sleeves (we can give you a source) and you can save 75% on shrink wrapping and you have a great looking package.

We make all prints with 1" borders (unless told otherwise). This is added to the size of the prints you order. If, for an example, if you order 11x14" prints (and your original is proportional to 11x14) your final image size will be 11x14 and your final paper size will be 13x16" with an addition of 1" borders. If you order 11x14" prints and your original is 11x11", your image size will be 11x11" and your paper size will be 13x13.

Pre-Cut Mats or Frames: If you are going to be using pre-cut mats or frames with your prints, please let us know so that we can make sure the print size fills the entire image area of the mat/frame! This sometimes will require cropping some of your prints if they are not the same proportion as the pre-cut mat material.

Copyright and Liability Agreement: This agreement simply states that you are the artist (or have written permission from the artist) to reproduce the enclosed art and your signature gives us that permission. It further states that ArtPrints assumes no liability for the art, film, files or storage media, while in our possession or in shipment to or from the sender, but assuring said sender of our utmost caution with said material. We must have this signed order to complete the order.

Shipping Your Order:

If you are a local customer you can ignore this section

When you are shipping your order, here is some information to consider. First of all, please unframe all original art. We must do the scans without frames on the artwork (mats are ok) - it also cuts way down on shipping expense.

When packaging your art, just use your good judgment. Keep things nice and snug, separate art with paper, cardboard or plastic. With pastels, keep surface of painting free of contact by taping the original to piece of cardboard larger than your art, then use strips of cardboard layered on the sides. Another piece of cardboard on top and you have it. Large watercolors can be sent in tubes for added safety and for cost savings-make sure you use 4-6" diameter tubes for less curling.

Package your material with lots of padding and be assured that in all our years of business we have found that shipping your originals is very safe.

We suggest using USPS Priority Mail, FedEx or UPS for shipping. Priority mail takes a little longer if you're on the east coast, but it is usually less expensive, and they supply free boxes up to 15x19 and triangle tubes up to 36". With UPS of FedEx we suggest their 3 Day Select service for best speed for the cost.

We will use your shipping box/tube to return your order when possible. Sometimes this is not possible because of the size of the order, so we will ship in one of our boxes and charge extra for it.

All shipping charges will be added to your order if paying by credit card, if you wish to send a check, just call us for an estimate on shipping costs.

Unless you instruct us differently on the order sheet, we will send out your order by USPS Priority Mail when possible. Remember if you use a PO box #, UPS and FedEx will not deliver to PO boxes, so we will have to ship by USPS Priority mail.

Remember to tell us what amount of insurance to place on your artwork in the return shipment. We will add that together with our printing charges to arrive at the final charge for insurance.
